As of the beginning of the 2007 playoffs, since MLB when to three levels of playoffs (Divisional Series, Championship Series, World Series) the answer is no. When there was only two levels (Championship Series, World Series), the 1976 Cincinnati Reds defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 3 games to 0 in the NLCS and the New York Yankees 4 games to 0 in the World Series. They are the only team to go undefeated in the playoffs since MLB went to the divisional format in 1969.

Yes. Lou Gehrig, like every other baseball player, has lost games during the season. He was a first baseman and part of a team.
Not in MLB but the Philadelphia Athletics were as close as you can come ... they went 99-53 in 1914 and 43-109 in 1915.
The 1906 Cubs went 116-36, which is the "modern" record. In the 1880s, certain league that were considered "major leagues" only had 60-game schedules, so of course some of those teams lost fewer than 36, but consider this the "official" record.
Logically, it would be the Seattle Mariners, as they are the furthest geographically from any other team in their division.
The dallas cowboys lost today big time and missed the playoffs because they lost. the patriots won but so did the ravens and dolphins making the patriots a rare 11-5 team to miss the playoffs (and i was complaining that my 10-6 brownies missed the playoffs last year). im guessing what ever you heard had to be about the pro teams since any sort of junior football should not be going on this late in the year its freezing out.
As of the 2011/2012 NHL season no team has gone 16-0 in the playoffs.
no it has never happened
celtics
Ravens
Yes the 1998-1999 Chicago Bulls. They are the only team in NBA history that won the championship and didn't make the playoffs next year.

Closest I know is the 1979 South Umpqua Lancers from Myrtle Creek, Oregon. The football team lost in the semi-finals, the basketball team lost in the state championship game and the baseball team won the state championship.
Portland Trailblazers in 1977
No, Major League Baseball does not have limits for runs in any of its games including Spring Training, Regular Season and the Playoffs except for the World Baseball Classic which is if the winning team is winning by 10 after 7 innings or if they're winning by 15 after 5 innings then the losing team is awarded an automatic forfeit.
Buffalo Bills.... i believe it was in 2010 season
The closest any team has come to achieving this feat was the 1995 Carolina Panthers, who finished two games out of a playoff spot.
