The Fight Song " Miami Dolphins #1 " was written FIRST in 1972 and the Houston Oilers' Fight song "Luv Ya Blue"written in 1978 after the playoff loss. Both with the Same Words to the Songs..See below
........The song " Miami Dolphins #1 " was written and composed by Lee Ofman. Ofman approached the Dolphins with it before the 1972 season because he wanted music to inspire his favorite team. The fight song would soon serve as a good luck charm for the Dolphins that season. The Dolphins became the first team in NFL history to record an undefeated season, going 17--0 en route to victory over the Washington Redskins in Super Bowl VII.
.........Local singer/songwriter Mack Hayes wrote and recorded the song "Luv Ya Blue" after the Oilers' 1978 playoff loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The song became the Oilers' rallying song the following year and Hayes and the Love Ya Blue band played at the Astrodome for each of the 1979 home games
....I think Lee Ofman of the Dolphins fight song should of had sued Mack Hayes of the Oilers' song for Copyright infringement !
