heck no, there are hundreds and hundreds of different kinds of fins for different size and shape boards. there are also many many fin companies, each making a different kind of base for their fins to fit in different boards, each one has its strengths and weaknesses, also each board has a different fin setup, the most popular are: thruster- three fins 2 front 1 back, with FCS or Future Fins, id go with future fins because fcs will eventually crack through the fiberglass on the top and you get a bunch of big circle cracks. future fins are amazing and perform really well, and dont fall off as easy when hit, but its a trick to take them off your board if you ever do, but its not too hard to figure out, took me a while though. quad/twinzer- four fins, usually used on a quad fish board. (my favorite). the quad setup usually consists of two larger front fins and two smaller back fins, a few inches closer to the center, again, future fins are probably the way to go for this. 2 + 1- this setup is for longboards only, it consists of one very large center back fin, and two front smaller ones on the sides, and most people will take off the two front ones, allowing you to turn the longboard alot more. single fin- same as the 2 + 1, but without the 2, so just a single fin in the back, and on many of them, you can move the fin back and forth in the slot, the more back it is, the tighter your turns will be.
