1) Born October 31, 1943 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
2) Grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1961. Was a star baseball and football player.
3) Played College Football for Wake Forest and led the nation in rushing yards and scoring his seniot season.
4) Married his high school sweetheart as a senior in college. They had three children, all girls.
5) Made the Chicago Bears team (practice squad) as an undrafted free agent in 1965.
6) Made the main roster of the Bears in 1966 and played four seasons with them. His career stats were 51 games played, 258 rushes for 927 yards and 4 TDs. He also caught 58 passes for 537 yards and 1 TD and returned 9 punts for 43 yards.
