Who has ever told you that running isn't good for your body? Unless you have a medicalcondition nobody would say that unless they hate running and will tell everybody that it sucks.
Cross-country is a running sport, so yes of course it is good. It'll put you in shape, and it works out your whole body. And I mean your whole body.But it is your choice if you want to do it or not.
I've done cross-country for two years so I know what I'm talking about. ;-)

If you love to run without hurting your legs than do it. But if you do hurt yourself than you wont be able to run with your team. No I would personally not do it! I'm a genius at cross country. Ran it for 8 years.
