Depends on the age and state. Usually U6-U10 are 6v6. anything younger then 6 could be from 4v4 to 6v6. U11-U12 are 8v8 and usually any older then that is 11v11. This is only the regulations for my state. Other states i don't know

What are the soccer positions for childrens soccer?
They people in front are called forwards Those in the center are called midfielders. The ones in back are called fullbacks. The player defending the goal is called the keeper, goalie or GK. Depending on the age of the children, some of these positions may or may not be included. For example, in a U-6 (under 6) setting, there are usually only 3 players on the pitch with no GK. In U-8, they usually don't have goalies and with 6v6 the usual number, there are only forwards and fullbacks. Too often, positions are confused with roles or areas of responsibility. For instance, some people refer to the back-line of players as defenders, when in fact, whenever you are not the team in possession, you are a defender. The back-line is made up of fullbacks, and depending on the formation, it can have stoppers and a sweeper in the fullback positions. Sometimes, midfielders will move into a fullback position to assist in more directly defending the goal.
