Dale Chihuly started using glass as a medium for this art in the 1960s. He worked as an apprentice in glassblowing in Italy in 1968 and 1969. He established a glass program at the Rhode Island School of Design in 1969, and the Pilchuck Glass School for glass artists in 1971.
Dale Chihuly creates amazingly beautiful, colorful, and inspirational wonders of art made using the glassblowing technique. His pieces are located in several museums around the world. Even though he suffered severe injuries in two separate incidents, he still continues to be involved in the process of these works of wonder.
He was influenced by his mother and his friends around him and his experiences helped him with his life and how he could handle all of those deaths!
I think so, yes. Every new piece that he and his team make makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck.
