Extremely rare in a recent auction a 1909 Pittsburg Pirates 2 1/4 " celluloid pinback button picturing composite portraits of the entire team including Hall of Famer Honus Wagner sold for $1,392.00 Photo Pins or Buttons from this era sell for about $1,000. -$2,000. or more. As with all collectibles condition is important on getting top dollar. Some of these pins had a paper back, and were made by "The Whitehead & Hoag Co." of Newark, New Jersey, the leading button and novelty company of the day. Pins with the paper still intact will sell at a higher price. I will leave a link below for information on other Vintage Baseball Pins/Buttons.
