What is Quidditch and what do you need for it?

Quidditch is a fictional sport played in the fiction novels and movies of Harry Potter. It is played on broomsticks, and each team has 7 players-the seeker, the keeper, 2 beaters, and 3 chasers. The seeker tries to catch a fast little ball called the snitch which will end the game. The beaters keep bludgers away from their players; bludgers are larger balls that chase the players around trying to knock them off their brooms. The chasers use the quaffle, which is a red ball, and they try to score through 3 different hoops, sort of like Basketball. The keeper guards the hoops to stop the other team from scoring.

You have to catch the snitch and throw a ball into a hoop to win the game,but if you catch the snitch and the other team is leading in points then the team which catches the scitch still wins.

The Quaffle must be surrendered to the opposition if any player leaves the boundary. # 'Time out' may be called at any time by the Captain of a team. Time out may be extended to 2 hours if a game has already lasted for more than 12 hours. Failure to return to the pitch after this time will lead to the team being disqualified. # Penalties can be awarded to teams by the referee. A single Chaser may take the penalty by flying from the central circle towards the scoring area. The opposing team's Keeper may attempt to stop the shot being scored, but all other players must not interfere. # Contact is allowed, but a player may not seize hold of another player's broomstick or any part of their anatomy. # No substitution of players is allowed throughout the game, even if a player is too injured or tired to continue to play, unless there are reserve players present. # Players may take their wands onto the pitch, but they must not be used on or against any players, any players' broomsticks, the referee, any of the 4 balls, or the spectators. # A game of Quidditch will only end once the Golden Snitch has been caught, or at the mutual consent of both team Captains.

Once the snitch is caught, the game is over. If your team catches the snitch, you get 150 points, but that doesn't mean you win. You must have the most number of point after that is added in. Basically? Catch the snitch as quickly as you can.

To win a Quidditch match your team must end with the most points. You sore 10 points for goals scored with the Quaffle and 150 points for catching the snitch.

If a team scores lots of goals they can still win without catching the snitch.
