No. His friend, Winnifred Trainor, was rumored to be pregnant with his child when he drowned in Algonquin Provincial Park's Canoe Lake on July 8, 1917. She made an unexplained trip to Philadelphia over the winter of 1917, returning to Huntsville around Easter.
