Winning: Winning means to be victorious. In terms of a race, winning would characterized by reaching the finish line before any of the other contestants. In terms of a Debate, winning would be characterized as the Debating Team which has the more persuasive argument or arguments and therefore receives more points from the Debate judges.

Losing: Losing means a failure to win. In terms of a race, losing would be characterized as reaching the finish line at ANY time AFTER another Contestant or Contestants reached the finish line.

The Difference between the two is, simply, they are OPPOSITES, if you are WINNING you cannot be LOSING and furthermore, if you are LOSING you cannot be WINNING.

There's no fun in playing it safe. Why not try something a little unhinged?
