This is not a matter related to law actually, but to each venue's policies. Some will allow some devices, others won't. For obvious reasons. It's as simple as that.
In America, it is up to each casino to decide whether or not they allow the use of electronic devices on the gaming floor. I have been to some casinos that actually encourage their customers to showcase their time at the casino on social media for more word of mouth advertising.
