Hi,
In Greyhound Racing, the 'red jacket' is the colour of Trap 1. It is one of the few colours allocated to a trap that is consistent throughout greyhound racing in the UK, Ireland, Australia and the United States.
In the UK:
Trap 1 = Red
Trap 2 = Blue
Trap 3 = White
Trap 4 = Black
Trap 5 = Orange
Trap 6 = Black/White Stripes
Countries following FCI rules and guidelines use the following racing jacket colours:
Trap 1 = Red with White 1
Trap 2 = Blue with White 2
Trap 3 = White with Black 3
Trap 4 = Black with White 4
Trap 5 = Yellow with Black 5
Trap 6 = Black and White with Red 6
trap one is red. trap two is blue trap three white trap four is black trap five is orange trap six black and white stripes
number 5
Trap six

Whippet racing is the same as greyhound racing, only with whippets. this is not racing for money, like some people do with greyhounds, but it is mostly for fun. the dogs are put in the trap, which is a metal box with bars at the front. when they are let out, they chase the luar, the dog who is first wins the race. some people do whippet racing for a hobby.
They are not all gray. In fact, they come in a variety of color variations. there are some grey greyhounds but they are almost extinct. The very first greyhounds might have been grey but it was too far back to know if they where. Now they are mostly other colors like my 2 that are brindle.
A jacket itself does not have thermal energy, but it can help trap your body heat and keep you warm by insulating you from the cold outside environment.
A down jacket is an insulator. Down feathers trap air in between them, which creates a layer of insulation that helps to keep the body warm by preventing heat loss.

Down is lightweight and highly compressible because of its ability to trap air between its fibers, providing warmth. When wet, the down clusters lose their loft and form clumps, reducing the air pockets that trap heat. This results in a loss of insulation and warmth when the down jacket gets wet.
