What sports started in the Bahamas?

Well the last person that wrote that condescending answer about soccer is wrong. While many Bahamians play soccer you must note that they have never really won any recognition on the word scene. Bahamians excel much more at Track and Field events and even softball on an international level. However, few Bahamians realize their national sport is actually cricket. Yes I said cricket. Look it up in an actual encyclopedia not wikipedia or Yahoo answers (http://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/The_Bahamas). Plus I learned this as a child in grade 2 along with all the other national symbols and what not.

In The Bahamas we play Basketball, soccer, track and field, swimming, Golf, tennis, volleyball etc.
