every once in a while they need to be cleaned and re-lubed your marker manual should be able to tell you how to do that, and also as a good rule of thumb its a good idea to go through and rebuild the marker every once in a while (go through and replace all the o-rings) every 15 cases of paint is a decent place to start on that, more or less may be needed depending on the marker

Use your squeegee or swab to clean out the barrel, use a paper towel in your hopper (just in case stuff exploded there too.) carefully clean your bolt and re lubricate it, with specific lubes, dont use bolt lube on your barrel.

When you first buy paintballs they shouldnt need any cleaning, but if you've dropped them on the ground try not to use them because they can mess up your gun even if you dont see anything on it

depends on the marker, generally, take it apart, clean it and lube it, put it back together
