First you have to decide whether you want to do a 180 off of a ramp or on flat ground.

Jump: You must do a bunnyhop off of the ramp, and at the same time turn your head the way you want to rotate for the 180 that way your shoulders will carry your body and the bike around so you can land the full 180.

Flat Ground: To do the flatground, you will first need to find a flat surface to perform this trick on, which could be on a blacktop or cement slab. you want to avoid areas like gravel, where you can slide, but once you get good enough at it, it doesn't matter where you do it. Once you have found a nice level area, you want to accelerate on the bike at a good enough speed so that you will be able to land it first, and then to be able to get out of it. Let me tell you want I do. First I make sure I will have enough space to be able to land it, then I start to accelerate on my bike, then as I accelerate, I do a bunnyhop and repeat the same process as for when you perform it going up a ramp. I will bunnyhop then turn my head to the left, which will turn my shoulders, along with my body, and then I land it and have to fakie out of it. You can either rotate to the left or the right.
