oh god. where to begin. the calves are on your legs- the actual name for those muscles is the gastrocnemius muscles- they connect to the Achilles tendon which connects to the heel, and they also connect to tendons which connect them to the bottom of the femur bone.

Simply put, they originate near your knee and end near your ankle.
