STACKING is also know as 'bulking'

Bodybuilders will start bulking/stacking in the winter months. They will increase their daily calorie intake, carbs, protein and train to their maximum. The idea is as follows.......

Befor and during the summer bodybuilders want to achieve the 'ripped' or 'lean' look where their muscles have great definition and their bodyfat is as low ass poss. To achieve this goal, the bodybuilder will have to cut down on calories and carbs to loose bodyfat, However, in this process the athlete will still loose a small amount of muscle they have worked so hard for. This is why it is important for bodybuilders to 'stack' on the muscluar pounds in the winter so when they strip down the fat to look good for summer they can afford to loose a little muscle and still have a high muscle mass at the end.!!!!!!!!!!!

The 'stack' is a Basketball inbounds play, in which a team lines up all 5, of their players, one inbounder and four potential receivers, who run in different directions on a signal, often the inbounder slapping the ball. The idea of the stack is to prevent the defense from being able to match up with the inbounding team. It is generally used in situations when the team with the ball suspects that the defense will attempt to pressure and steal the inbounds pass.

From my experience playing basketball, almost every team had a play called "stack." This is when you take the ball out from under your basketball hoop and 4 players from the team on offense line up in a straight line pretty much on the line on the key standing in front of the person passing in the ball. Each player does a different move in order to get the player at the end up to the block to get a shot.
