Resistance Training is simply the basic workout of lunges, push-ups, sit-ups, walking, running at a slow and steady pace, and stretching. It is mostly used for warm-ups at the beginning of an intense or more than 30 minute work out. If you want something to get you pumped for more or maybe just getting relaxed then I would choose to practice Resistance Training daily and allow 1 or 2 day a week breaks.

A broader meaning that refers to any training that uses a resistance to the force of muscular contraction (better termed strength training), and elastic or hydraulic resistance, which refers to a specific type of strength training that uses elastic or hydraulic tension to provide this resistance
