A UK size 42 typically corresponds to a US size 42 as well, as the sizing is generally consistent between the two systems for men's clothing. In women's clothing, a UK size 42 would usually be equivalent to a US size 14 or 16, depending on the brand. It's always best to check specific brand size charts for the most accurate fit.
