The most important foods for a bodybuilder not to eat are processed (refined) carbohydrates. Just eliminate them completely from your diet except for an occasional treat. Get all your carbohydrates from natural sources such as organic vegetables. You should also vary your daily carbohydrate intake, but always keep the total grams consumed below 100. If you are unsure what constitutes a refined (processed) carbohydrate, see the list, further down this page, listed under Related Questions.

It's important, too, to eat sufficient quality fats and proteins from natural sources such as (unless you are vegetarian) grass-fed organic beef and sockeye (wild) salmon and to drink plenty of water. (Don't consume more than 40% of your calories from proteins.)
