it depends if the course has a lot of hills or not. going up hills usually slow a person down so the time would be slower. other than that, i think 22 minutes is a really good time. i'm about the fourth fastest runner on my team right now and i use to run 22's, i just recently broke 22 and i ran high 21's..so if you're running about a 22, you can definitely hit 21 minutes so keep it up !

A cross country race is when a number of competetors compete in a long distance race that might be running or something else. If you want to win the race you must train hard. It requires endurance and lots of stamina. A cross country race is kind of like a marathon. The race might last atleast a half an hour to about 45 minutes. If your talking your average high school runner, they run about 20-30 miles a week. If your talking your average collegiate runner, they run about 60-70 miles/week. Professionals i think run about 100-120 miles/week, i wouldn't see the benefit in running any more.
Generally it is 3.1 miles, 6.2 miles, and up to 26 miles (marathon)
