If you are talking about washboard abs, then you have to do cardio and usually a good diet helps. If you are talking about just having strong ab muscles, then doing 3 to 5 sets of 20 to 50 repetitions each set, 3 to 5 days a week will get you strong ab muscles. Of course, you won't see them through the fat if you aren't doing cardio and diet. Try doing cardio 3 to 4 days a week for 30 minutes, try jogging, bike riding (coasting does not count), swimming (just playing around in the pool does not count). Good luck.
It takes you 100 sit ups every night.
"i actually do 100 every night. it helps, but to speed it up, start with not eating alot. drink alot more water (ditch the other drinks), avoid fatty foods (no porkchops/burgers/ greasy-fatty stuff), don't eat sweets (reward yourself once week: something small). and by then, it helps your cravings, the water helps alot, and definetly you'll see results: but remember things like this take time and you need to stick with it. I was 220 and i was DISGUSTED, i did that routing, and 5-6 months later i became 180. you realy need to be dedicated or its really not goin to work. I'm just saying because people tend to forget the dedication process of wanting to actually work hard."- Maurice J. Rodriguez
Depends on how fit you are. Do as many crunches (not full sit ups) as you can until you can't anymore (to fatigue). Over time, as you get stronger, the number you can do to fatigue will increase. Actually it would help to do both crunches and bicycles. If you have some extra body fat you will need to do some cardio as well to help burn the fat. Good diet will help too. Of course, the less fat on top the more they will show. Doing crunches alone will not burn fat unless you have only a little or none on your abs. I don't know your stature, gender or fitness level, but some people naturally have more fat around their abdomen and it takes quite some effort to get "six pack" abs. Of course, lucky people who are thinner or already fit can have a good result just doing a lot of crunches in 2 months.
50 crunches : hands on head, elbows touch quadriceps.
50 sit-ups: hand on head, elbows touch knees.
30 leg raises: lie flat, lift legs aprox. 2 ft. from ground then back down without touching the ground.
30 siscor kicks: lie flat, lift legs aprox. 1 ft. from ground then swing legs back and forth horizantally.
Repeat.

you should do 3000... 1000 is one pound..
Contrary to what many believe, sit ups do not make you lose weight. They can help tone the ab muscles, but a healthy diet and exercise regimen that includes cardio will help you lose those 10 pounds.

The people who answered already obviously can't read! The question is not whether you can lost 20 pounds PER DAY, the question is can you lose 20 pounds in ONE MONTH by eating ONCE PER DAY! It depends on how many calories you eat during that one meal and how many sit ups you do. It would be pretty hard to do. I don't think you could do it unless you eat very little and do sit ups for hours every day. I don't think it's healthy.
when you wake up in the morning, do as many push ups and sit ups as you can, and soon you will lose body fat but gain weight from the muscle. GIRLS LOVE IT. take it from me, I'm 13 and can lift 150 pounds.
