Eating a certain amount of apples won't make you lose weight. If you do want to lose weight you need to have a balanced diet (with protien, vegetables, dairy, wheat etc. - Not just apples) and get plenty of exercise.

Not really sure that apples are a weight loss food. They are high in fructose which is a sugar so will actually boost your calorie count. Being smart about what you eat and how you move is the key. It doesn't have to be complicated it just needs doing daily. The key is to find something that you can maintain daily.
