If you've just started runing (4-5 mph), then it should take about 8:30 to 13:00 minutes. However, if you have been for a couple months or even a month then it should take about 6:00 to 9:00 minutes and possibly less.
If walking (1-3 mph) then it would be around 9:00 to 15:00.
The time also depends on how long you can run, your breathing (very important), overall fitness/health, how your feet hit the ground, clothing, ,and stamina.
If you want to become faster, try running with ankel weights. The moment you take them off after a while, your legs will "feel" faster and youll be able to train your legs to go faster. Its a rule that I've been doing for a while and i got a 5:14 mile. Then again, I 'm in track, so thats somewhat difficult.
