Training to Win:

Train with the end in mind. To win a stair climb you'll need to be exploding up 2-steps at a time the entire time. Your training should train (in order of importance): Lungs, Leg Strength Stamina, Lower Back, Leg Explosion, Triceps and upper back, hand-strength, had toughness.

Here's a good set of cross training exercises:

-Biking up a hill (choose a long steep hill to burn your lungs)

-Running up a hill (choose a long steep hill to burn your lungs)

-Your favorite lower back exercises

-2-foot Power Jumps

-Jumping rope

-and of course, Stair Climbing (do it intervals)

What are difference between climbing a rock and a wall?

It is as simple as what you are climbing. Wall climbing is an indoor way to learn about climbing, practice, train, socialize, and compete. This is a more modern way to expose people to climbing in a controlled environment. Rock climbing is the original activity. It takes place on real rocks. You can climb whole mountains, single pitches at a cliff or even boulders. Get out there and climb something! :)

Is smile train a charity?

Yes. Smile Train is a registered charity with the federal government and with every state in the U.S. where it is required. The Smile Train UK is a registered charity in the UK and The Smile Train Canada is a registered Canadian charity. The mission of Smile Train is to help the millions of very poor children in developing countries who are suffering with unrepaired clefts. The only reason these children have NOT been helped is because they're poor. The problem of clefts in developing countries is an economic problem - not a medical one. The families of these children - often living on less than $1 a day - are too poor to ever afford to pay for surgery.
