not really there is lots of sports you can play without having fitness like tether ball

or yoga, Ballet, jump roping and maybe volley ball

yes these are all considered sports

all of these are tiny sports but good enough to get you started

these are also good for warm ups

and these may require a little fitness and strength

Well you don't have to but if I were you I would. Its much harder to keep up if your not in shape. The only up side is that you can check and hit better. Obviously, anyone who can skate can play a simple game of pick-up hockey, but it stands to reason that the higher the competitive level that you play the better physical condition that one must be in to play.

To play soccer you need to be physically fit. It is one of the roughest sports, and you must have endurance, because you rarely get a break.
