Pharlap was a very well known race horse back in the 1920's to 1930's. He was bought for around 168 pound which is around 330 Australian dollars. He won the Melbourne cup with a cracked hoof then sadly he got posioned by some sick person and died. His groom/stable hand was Tommy Woodcock ( Tommy loved him greatly) his trainer and part owner was Mr. Harry Telford and his other part owner was Mr. David Davis.i hope that helps you !
