Jockey Willie Shoemaker won the Kentucky Derby four times during his career. His victories came in 1955 with Lucky Debonair, 1959 with Tomy Lee, 1965 with Lucky Debonair, and 1986 with Ferdinand. Shoemaker's wins contributed to his reputation as one of the greatest jockeys in horse racing history.
