Some horses can free pace but they are quite rare. Even if horses free pace whilst training they normally waer hopples durin a race just incase they do break gait.
All horses have a "fast" gait! A gallop is a fast gait...
Horses prance with a lively gait.
Gallop is the horses fastest gait
There tolt( wich is a speachal gait kinda like a fancy trot)
Trot
The speed depends on the horse and the gait. Here is the speed of an average horse in each main gait: === ===
A horses jog, or trot, is a 2 beat gait.
Skip is not a gait. horses if they are trained very wel they can skip by doing sevral lead changes in a row. it is very cool but it is not a natural gait
I have a miniature horse that definitely prefers gaiting when in harness. He also trots and canters but has a definite saddle rack or singlefoot gait, and he is quite happy doing it and actually seems to prefer it when harnessed and pulling his cart.
Tennessee Walking Horses are not typically used in barrel racing due to their natural gait and conformation, which may not be suited for the quick turns and speed required in barrel racing. Breeds like Quarter Horses or Thoroughbreds are more commonly seen in barrel racing competitions.
