exacta payouts are based upon a pari-mutuel wagering pool. Basically, it all depends on how many people bet on the exacta that just won. If you are the only bettor on EX 1-2 and you bet $2, and the size of the exacta pool is 1000, then you just hit a 1000 dollar exacta. Conversely, if 100 people had bet $2 on EX 1-2 and the pool was 1000, then the exacta payout would be calculated thus- there are two hundred dollars that have to split the other 800, so therefore each *winning* dollar wagered would get paid out 4 bucks in profit. That's an 10 dollar exacta payout. Of course, this math doesnt count for the take of the particular racetrack in that state, but it should help.

In my research, i have found over analysis of 1000 races that the average exacta payout is 89 dollars, the median is 48 dollars, and the mode is 27 dollars.

I have personally hit a 720 dollar exacta before, but I've seen larger payouts go up to 1,200!

i hit an exacta that paid 9,500 in 2003 at australlia i bet a dollar box 13 14 15 16 . y i pik those numbers? odds were high and i believe when a horse is on the oudside it has a better chance to gain ground going home. no i did not handicapthe race. lol i believe the winner was 75 to 1 and the second place horse was for sure over 1000 to 1. when i bet the odss were anywhere fro 20 to 50 to1 i would never had put that hors second if i kne the odds were that high. i bet it at northfield park in Cleveland Ohio. when the race was over with. a friend of mine showed me the odds . the results werent in i told him i would be happy to get 2 grand well i got i believe around 4500 the exact paid 9k i had a dollar box . so i got half of it. i was in thecleveland plain dealer. my name is ron r. the year was 2000 for sure . i just remembered and it was like april or rite after. thats the biigest i seen. thats the biggest i heard. the owner of the rack said he never saw an exacta ever pay that much. he said there are no records of exactas thank u for reading. if u want to talk to me. i have a cell phone 216 536 6436 . today i have a system. i win 90 percnt of time. i been on tv all over the world. everyone wants to know how i win almost everynite. i am not rich but i make over 5k week at the track
