When he ran his race for the triple crown in 1973, he won by a record breaking 31 lengths! one length is the length of one horse. 31 of those! the last half mile of the race was ran in 43 seconds! he was traveling at a thundering 40 mph! imagine having to ride that! Even with today's advanced breeding and technology, no horse has been able to pass his astonishing margin of victory. He is still the fastest horse in the world.
