Subzero, winner of Australia's 1992 Melbourne Cup, was foaled in 1988. After retiring from horseracing, Subzero became the Clerk of Course, Graham Salisbury's, horse and and made numerous public and television appearances.

The big grey gelding, who turned completely white, developed Arthritis and was retired from public life in June 2008, at the age of 20. He is still alive and happily enjoying green pastures at Salisbury's Heathcote farm.
