Red Rum was a famous race horse. He won the Aintree Grand National in 1973, 1974 and 1977. He is the only horse to have won it 3 times. He finished second in it in 1975 and 1976. He also won the Scottish Grand National in 1974. He won 24 out of the 100 races that he ran in. He was born in 1965 and died in 1995 and is buried beside the winning post at Aintree Racecourse.
