If they win they can win hundreds of thousands and way more. * Actually This is how it is: Jockeys get picked by the owner of the horses to ride their horses in a race. The Trainer of the horse helps make that decision. Whatever the purse is like say 100,000 for the race if the jockey wins the trainer gets some of the money the breeder gets some of the money and the jockey gets some of the money.
