Secretariat's triple crown win
1. Kentucky Derby (stakes record of 1:59.2, still standing)
2. Preakness Stakes (Daily Racing Form clockers claimed he established a new track record, but a malfunctioning official timer did not, and the clockers' time has not been officially recognized)
3. Belmont Stakes (track record of 2:24, still stands fastest time over 1.5 miles in history on a dirt track)
Secretariat won 6 races after his triple crown win
He lost five races. The Wood, The Whitney, The Woodward, Aqueduct, Champagne Stakes.
It should be noted, in the Wood, an abcess in his mouth was found that prevented the horse from grabbing the bit and taking off.
In the Champagne, he won the race but was placed second after an interference with Stop The Music.
In the Whitney, it was found later he suffered from a fever.
In the Aqueduct race, his first, he was blind sided by another horse at the start, then rallied, only to be hemmed in at the rail.
The tripple crown races: belmont, kuntuky derby, perness, and many more.
19/20 Races!

None. Fillies usually do not run quite as fast as colts, although there have been filly winners in some of the Triple Crown races, but none have ever won the crown.
Secretariat was born March 30th, 1970, and died October 4th, 1989, at an age of 19 years old.
the best horse they say is Secretariat because in a race he was up by 36 lengths Many believe Secretariat is the finest Thoroughbred racehorse we've seen. He won the Triple Crown in 1973. Actually, the final race in the Triple Crown is the Belmont Stakes (which may be what was ref'd above). He won the Belmont by 32 lengths & set the Track record for 1.5 miles in 2:24. This record still stands - no horse has run it faster.

The Triple Crown, or respectively the Kentucky Derby, The Preakness, and The Belmont Stakes, are exclusively for three-year-old Thoroughbreds. Because the distance increases with each race it is harder for the horse to complete The Triple Crown. Last winner was 'Affirmed' in 1978, he was euthanized at the age of twenty six after an injury to his pastern caused him to suffer from laminitis. And actually, most of the horses that have run these races live well into their teens and many lived well into their thirties.
Dale Murphy never won the Triple Crown.
No, Seattle Slew and Secretariat did not race. The Triple Crown winner of 1973 (Secretariat) had already been retired for four years by the time Slew won the Triple Crown. However, Triple Crown winners Seattle Slew and the winner of 1978, Affirmed, raced together in the Marlboro Cup. Affirmed went off as the favorite at 1-2 odds, and Slew was the second favorite, with odds of 2-1. Seattle Slew won, beating Affirmed by three lengths. They met again in the Jockey Club Gold Cup, but Affirmed's saddle slipped, and he finished fifth. Slew ended up finishing second. Despite the defeat, many analysts considered this to be Slew's greatest performance.
Frank Robinson is the only Oriole to have won the Triple Crown (1966).
They were. Through a horse named Fair Play, sire to Man-O-War, grandsire to Seabiscuit. This is very common in horse pedigrees to see similar bloodlines. With the creation of other American breeds such as the Quarter Horse and American Paint, these same Thoroughbred bloodlines are found in the family tree of many of these stock horses. Three Bars, a Thoroughbred stallion is considered one of four foundation stallions that all AQHA and APHA registered horses can trace back in their pedigrees.
