Different horse will have different endurance levels. Some horses can only move fast for short periods of time, others for long periods of time, e.g., the Arabian.
Trotting is slower than the gallop, but trotting for long periods of time is actually better exercise.
The miles that a horse can trot a day depends strongly on that horses fitness, breed, age and conformation. That is a question that has more than one answer, and it highly depends.
Hope this helps a bit,

It depends on the horse.
in the wild, horses travel 15-20 miles a day. I dont think they run all that way, probably mostly at a trot. So, I dont know how many they RUN in a day, but they travel 15-20 miles.
The amount of miles traveled will depend on the speed of the horse, the weight of the carriage, the terrain that is being covered, the weather, and how often the horse and people need to stop to eat and use the restroom. Typically a horses best travelling gait is the trot, a trot can average 4 to 8 mph in a none racing breed. So if all the factors are in your favor, flat terrain, light people, carriage, and belongings you should be able to cover roughly 16 to 32 miles in a day once you factor in an 8 hour period to sleep, and roughly four hours for taking breaks, using the bathroom, eating, and drinking (both people and the horse).
The average traveling distance for a horse in a day is around 20 to 30 miles, depending on factors such as terrain, weather, and the horse's conditioning. Horses are known for their endurance and ability to cover long distances at a moderate pace.
Closest I have is close to 60 miles, which online elsewhere said is for a horse.
A horse usually learns to walk within a few hours of its birth and learns to Trot within a day of its birth.
Most likely the most they could go was between 10-15 miles a day. If you were to travel by horse 30 miles it would take you 2 days.
I can ride a horse 5 hours in a day.
Rumor has it that your heart goes as fast as a horse. but who knows since my legs have more miles that your car!!

There are 4 beats in a walk, 2 beats in a trot, 3 beats in a canter, 4 beats in a gallop or run, 4 beats in a running walk, 2 beats in a pace, and 4 beats in a rack. I hope this helped, I searched forever for this!
You can train a horse to canter because they dont know the diffrance between running and catering. The other thing that needs to be done is training your horse to get on the right lead. You can do this my pushing in the horses side with your inside leg and then pull there head to the right with the outside hand. You can't train a horse to trot but you can train them the cue to trot.
