There are two grey horses in the Grand National 2013. Quel Espirit (at the moment 33/1 odds) and Chicago Grey (12/1 and probably getting shorter). Many race "experts" expect Chicago Grey to win, which is why his odds are likely to be shorter.

There is not an official record of how many Kentucky Derby horses have been injured in the race. This is also because injuries may have been caused by the race but appeared later.
The Kentucky Derby field is limited to 20 horses. Some people think 20 horses are too many for a horse race, with the finish sometimes resembling a cavalry charge. However, that large of a field does offer many good betting possibilities.
Because the Kentucky Derby is for horses classified as three years old. This means they can only run once, when they are three years old.
