Won Kentucky Derby 1973 - broke the track record with a time of 1:59 2/5...still the record in 2008. In that race he ran each 1/4 mile faster than the one before, an unheard of feat. He ran the last 1/4 mile in 23 seconds.

Won Preakness 1973 - broke the track record with a time of 1:53 2/5, which is still the record in 2008.

Won Belmont Stakes to win the Triple Crown - broke the WORLD record for 1 1/2 miles on a dirt track with a time of 2:24, which is still the record in 2008. Also, he won this race by 31 lengths!!!
