Why don't kids wear speedos?

I used to wear them in the early 90's when I was on a swim team in Europe (we lived on a US Military base). I also would wear them at the beach when we came back to the US when I was 14. I remember getting some weird looks and stares but I didn't care because they were comfortable and dried really quick!

Normally only professionals wear speedos because they are expensive. Kids, normally are not professional swimmers.

Most guys in the US are to in secure with there bodies (too big, or too small). I am 22 and I wear speedos and I don't care what some people think. they are just mad that they think they don't look good in speedos or just scared.

Kids used to but stopped for some reason 7 or 8 years ago.

When I was growing up, all us kids wore speedos. Now I am 42 years old and I notice that kids don't wear speedos anymore. I guess when boardies (swim trunks) became popular, the speedo died out. Now, because less boys are wearing it, one might be embarrassed if he had to wear a speedo (swim team) because it reveals too much. We never seemed to mind.
