There were ivestigations after allegation that they weren't getting treated well. Working loads of hours for low pay.
Apple, in China, makes Chinese workers work very hard, in poor conditions, for little pay. The conditions were so bad that the workers started jumping out of the windows. Instead of improving conditions, they put up nets outside the window to keep them from committing suicide. Nike had some factories in South Korea, the workers demanded better working conditions and better pay. Nike moved their factories to Thailand and Vietnam.
Minimum wage.
They are paid £4 a day but they take out money for their lunch and rent. They work 13 hours a day and very often they have to work overtime. They work 6 or 7 days a week and get only a 5 min break to go to the toilet once. The Conditions Are Horrible!
Factory work differed from agricultural work in terms of working conditions and tasks. In factories, workers faced long hours, repetitive tasks, and often dangerous conditions due to machinery. In contrast, agricultural work involved outdoor labor, varying tasks, and a connection to nature.
not too sure about Nike now, but in normal sweatshops, workers have to endure long working hours (ie. 16-18hours a day), low wages (less than the minimum wage), no career breaks or holidays, often abused in many ways.

yeah they get abuses worser than chemicals they tape your mouth if you talk and beat workers to death its scary DONT WORK AT NIKE COME TO ADDIDAS
They work in Asia in sweatshops where it costs the company a pittance to pay employees compared to manufacturing them in the United States. A worker once stated that it would take her a whole month's salary to pay for one pair of Nike shoes. She also stated that the management would beat her in the face with a shoe if they found her work to be unsatisfactory. Nike used to be my favorite brand, but after hearing the above on a 60 Minutes tv show - I no longer buy Nike in protest of sweatshop conditions. Shame on Nike.

China, Australia, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore and the United Kingdom are the top mentioned countries for Nike exportation.
it cost less than US$5 to produce Nike sneaker/running shoes. Nike manfacturing is done in countrys with very low labor cost and little to no labor organizing or protection. Nike factory workers in VietNam make $l.60 a day (10 hours)C hina workers make $1.75 a day (10-12 hours) Indonesia workers make $2.46 a day During the 1970's, most Nike shoes were made in South Korea and Taiwan. When workers organized and wages began to rise Nike moved production to countries with authoritarian leaders who outlaw independent labor unions. By 1992, Nike had eliminated nearly all of their U.S. work force in favor of low-wage Asian producers.
