It would really depend on what all do you have. But if you can fit everything in 1 container, it can actually be cheaper then shipping stuff in US between different states. But you are looking at anywhere from $1000.00 to $2000.00+.
A liner is a large passenger ship.
That sounds like an awesome trip. I couldn't find anything that indicated any type of direct port to port type of cruise from Cairo to Portland; but with any type to traveling I'm sure that if there's a will there's a way. You may find yourself stopping in ports along the way in between your destination. I found a website that offers an Egypt on sail special which can bring you into New York. From New York you'd have to find a way to get West. Then again... I'm sure there are ways to find a ship heading out of Cairo that can take you across the Atlantic then through Nicaragua where you can find your way North from there. All in all, I'm excited for your trip and the many stories you'll have after taking it. Godspeed.
