Kickboxing is dangerous. It sustains injuries at a rate of 40 every 1000 practice minutes, or 2.5 per hour, on average. Compared to other Martial Arts, where the average injury rate is one per hour, this rate is higher. However, professional fighters suffer twice as many injuries as amateurs do.

It depends on the style of karate you study. There are millions, Shu jit zu, Ty Kwo Do, Kung Fu, Ouichiru.....But generally, It helps safety-wise to have a form of self defense on you at all times.

Karate can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. Don't try and use some sweet karate move on your friends to be cool, it can really hurt somone if you use it the wrong way. If you're trained in any sort of fighting its smart to just not let people know it as it will get you into more trouble.

Not any more dangerous then any other sport. Properly conducted, it is pretty safe. In ten years of training, I've only seen two injuries other then bangs and bruises.

It can be dangerous if you train in a school where the instructor takes it lightly, is irresponsible and has you sparring every day.

In Okinawa, the tradition is to emphasize Kata, and to ensure the student is skilled and coordinated first, before engaging in any tests of skill, which are always done bare fisted, allow all moves in Karate's arsenal including the joint locks. Karate's grappling moves do not involve grabbing the gi, as grabbing clothes was not felt to be practical. Additionally, most of Karate's "grappling" involves tripping an opponent, unbalancing them, and, across all the styles of Okinawa I think there are well over 500 ways to trip someone.

Karate SHOULDN'T be dangerous.

The danger is Martial arts lies within the student. As you progress you become more lethal and therefore more dangerous. There is little danger to you physically and you learn as long as you listen to your teacher. Don't listen or be tempted by fools who ask you to get out of choke holds. Wait until you move up a few belts until you train outside of the studio with others.

Kick boxing can be very dangerous, depending on the rules the fighters follow. With proper protective equipment and rules in place to prevent serious injury, it is relatively safe, but if it is done in the no-holds-barred style, fighters can end up with broken bones and even a concussion.

It depends on who is doing the karate chop and where it strikes the other person. A trained martial artist can deliver a knife hand blow and kill someone. An untrained individual attempting to hit someone is more likely to hurt their hand, actually breaking finger bones, then to hurt their opponent. A good blow can easily break boards. It can bruise muscle very badly.

The only bad thing about karate is that if the school is not run properly there is a chance that someone will get hurt.

Depends on where you strike. You can kill someone by chopping their trachea or just make them mad by hitting their torso
