Why do they speak of someone winning the national championship in pro wrestling when it is decided before the match starts?

Because, unfortunately, the majority of followers refuse to believe that Wrestling matches are fixed ! If I was in a ring - fighting someone for a trophy and a large sum of money - I certainly wouldn't be telling my opponent what my next move was just so they could brace themselves for 'impact' !... I'd be keeping my planned moves to myself - in order to inflict maximum pain, and guarantee my own victory !

The winner of 'championship' matches are decided long before either wrestler sets foot in the ring !
