Although julio Cesar chavez was a great Mexican boxer, im afraid id have to disagree. I never saw him fight, but my grandfather tells me that the greatest Mexican fighter he ever saw(and saw a few) was without a doubt Salvador Sanchez, he was only arround 22-23 when he passed away and had a 37-0 record with wins over quality opposition such as wilfredo Gomez, Carlos Zarate etc. NO DOUBT he would've gone unbeating for another 7-8 before he would've lost his first fight easy. its a shame we never got to see him reach his true potential at its highest level.

I'm sure that is JORGE PAEZ. "Clown", maybe for how he approached LIFE. There was a time period when Paez held the world title and on the entire planet Earth, he was much "Study". The world never really seen anything like him, before. -Later- his talent -seemed- to move more in to a "meduim" range. He stood in the GAME a long. long time and, he had some rugged fights later, matches that were not entirely "Legacy Builders". But, he was at that LEVEL, boxing the best still, so. NORMALLY he gave very Excellent account of himself. Those who remember Jorge Paez at his height, "Marvel". JOHN WILKINSON WilkinsonJboxingII@Hotmail.com NEW BRITAIN, Ct. U.S.A.
