Although julio Cesar chavez was a great Mexican boxer, im afraid id have to disagree. I never saw him fight, but my grandfather tells me that the greatest Mexican fighter he ever saw(and saw a few) was without a doubt Salvador Sanchez, he was only arround 22-23 when he passed away and had a 37-0 record with wins over quality opposition such as wilfredo Gomez, Carlos Zarate etc. NO DOUBT he would've gone unbeating for another 7-8 before he would've lost his first fight easy. its a shame we never got to see him reach his true potential at its highest level.
lennox Lewis
Considered by most the greatest heavyweight champion of all time, and a top 5 greatest boxer ever.
Some boxers had absolutely amazing runs in their prime, like Mike Tyson and Roy Jones to name a few. Ray Robinson's many boxing experts' greatest boxer of all time for obvious reasons seen in wiki. But really, opic like this depends greatly on individual's opinions so its hard to specifically tell which boxer is the greatest. There are many many all-time greatest boxers out there.
Undoubtedly he is up there among them, but it is largely a matter of opinion.
