Ric Flair's signature finishing manuever was the figure four leg lock. It was a variation on the "Indian Death Lock" used by Strangler Lewis and others. It put pressure on three different tendons and ligaments in the knee and ankle. While others have copied it's use, very few have used it as their primary submission hold and certainly no one has used it as often and effectively as Flair did in his 36 year, 16 time World Championship career.
