Leo Howard had practiced karate and wushu(which is deprived from traditional Chinese Martial Arts) skills from the age of four. When he was 4 his parents sent him to the dojo of Oceanside, California. At the age of 5 he started practicing shorin-ryu karate. He even added gymnastics to his routine so that he can improve himself in every aspect. At the age of 7, he started practicing under world champion Matt Mullins' dojo.
