What does plata mean in jiu jitsu?

Omoplata means shoulder blade in Portuguese.

Gogo means throat in Portugese. There is no connection to the "plata" part of Gogoplata besides the fact that you throw your leg over the shoulder to place your foot underneath someone's throat.
