thomas hearns sugar ray leonard oscar de la hoya (actually 7 titles in 6 divisions) floyd mayweather manny pacquiao (actually 7 titles in 7 divisons)
world titles in 7 divisions. including 3 ring magazine titles, and one other linear title (according to another publication)
I'm sure there are a few of them: Archie Moore for scoring the most ko's of any champion. Thomas Hearns for being the first boxer to win titles in 5 weight classes. Oscar De La Hoya for being the first to win 6. Manny Pacquiao for being the first to 7. Henry Armstrong for being the first to hold titles in 3 weight classes simultaneously.
Oscar De La Hoya. EDIT Manny Pacquiao has won titles in 7 divisions, beating Oscar's record.
i think it should be a championship fight because pacquiao has 6 titles coming up on weight. he is tied with 3 other people for most titles ever. if it is a title fight ( it should be) and if pacquiao wins ( pacquiao by KO in 7th) hell be the first ever in history to win 7 titles.
pacquiao has won titles at: flyweight super bantamweight (jr featheweight) featherweight super featherweight (jr lightweight) lightweight super lightweight (jr welterweight) if he beats cotto in november, he will have won titles in 7 different weight classes of the 9 divisions he's jumped since turning professional at jr flyweight. http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=6129&cat=boxer
pacquiao won titles at 7 weights, but probably 10 different belts.
Muhammed Ali was the first person to hold the heavyweight title three times. Ali first won the world heavyweight championship title in 1964 but was stripped of it three years later after he refused induction into the army. He regained the title in 1974 and in 1978.
Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao is a fast, brutal fighter. He seals his 8th boxing title and defends his name of being the "pound-for-pound king". Antonio "The Tijuana Tornado" Margarito's problem was he did not defend himself when he knew Manny can take his victory by brutality. Here are the boxing records of Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito: Manny Pacquiao 31 years old 5 ft. 6 1/2 in. Pac-Man Reach: 67 Fights: 57 Wins: 52 Wins by K.O: 38 Losses: 3 Draws: 2 Antonio Margarito 32 years old 5 ft. 11 in. The Tijuana Tornado Reach: 73 Fights: 46 Wins: 38 Wins By KO: 27 Losses: 7 NC (No Contest): 1 Floyd is undefeated, and he is afraid of Pacquiao because he is afraid that he has a great possibility to lose his undefeated record.
The Boston Red Sox have 7 world series titles.
