That is entirely up to the Sr. Instructor or Master of the dojang. However, it is not likely that Taekwondo could be effectively and efficiently learned without homework. The time spent in class, with an instructor, is mostly an instructional period with some amount of exercise, conditioning, and practical application. Most of the benefit to the student comes from practice outside of the classroom - - at home or on their own time. Many hours of stretching, practicing, and repetition are required. Physical training is also just part of the entire education in Taekwondo. There are lists of terminology, philosophy, history, and other areas of knowledge that should be studied at home or outside of the classroom. Therefore, homework is virtually essential to Taekwondo training.
